This summer I have joined a number of expeditions to Raine Island led by Dr Andy Dunstan of Queensland’s Environment and Heritage Department. My role has been to document research and monitor activities, also building a 4K library of the natural history of Raine Island. This year has proven the most visually spectacular I’ve seen in over 15 years of visiting Raine Island. These clips will be online shortly. However it is not all filming, I have been assisting the turtle team with monitoring programs conducted during the trips and continued my own tiger shark research. Biopixel is proud to be a partner in the ongoing research of Raine Island to help manage one of the true jewels of Australia.
